Photos: Slow and Low Lowrider Festival 2
A catalog of lowrider cars and bikes lined the streets along Cermak and Jefferson on Sunday, August 12, as the industrial arts district played host to the second annual Slow and Lowrider Festival. The vast collection of decked out vehicles was organized by the Chicago Urban Arts Society (CUAS) to showcase lowrider art and culture.
The one-day event provided a platform for local and national lowrider crews to come together and show off the craftsmanship of their vehicles, while an exhibit provided attendants a glance into the lowrider culture through photographs, artwork and more. Musical performances also rang throughout the day, including local acts Phero, Phillip Morris and the Impala Sound Machine.
