Fiesta del Sol

Fiesta del Sol has brought the best of Mexican culture to the streets of Pilsen for years. From food and games to music and dancing, the festival provides something fun and exciting for the whole family.

In its 40th year, Fiesta del Sol has grown to be a go-to event where the whole family can find something to enjoy, and this year has been no different.

Running through Sunday, July 29 down Cermak Road, Fiesta del Sol has already provided an array of entertainment this year. On Friday, the J-Def Hip Hop battle put young local MCs head to head, while on Saturday, the Back of the Yards band Quinto Imperio put the crowd to dance with their cumbia.

While Mexican bands still reign in the main stage, a stage devoted to house music, House of Sol, has attracted an amass of younger festival goers who dance the day and night away.

More is in store for the last day of the festival including a college fair, an art pavilion and of course tons of food from favorite local restaurants.
