VIDEO: Undocumented Youth: Dreaming, Waiting, Falling Through the Cracks

Although exact numbers are hard to attain, it is no secret the Back of the Yards neighborhood is home to a large population of undocumented youth who arrive in the United States as children. Many of them have younger siblings born here or have friends who are citizens. For undocumented youth, however, the chances for an education and a future are bleak in comparison. But like other young people in the neighborhood, some are working hard for an education, others have gone into the workforce, and some have fallen to gangs and crime…
