Fiesta Back of the Yards Returns: June 8th, 9th,10th

The Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council (BYNC) is proud to announce the highly anticipated return of its three-day Fiesta Back of the Yards event on June 8, 9, & 10, 2012. The Fiesta will once again take place on 47th Street, between Damen and Ashland Avenue. As part of our cultural celebration, we are thrilled and proud to provide our community with many free-fun forms of entertainment, such as the Chicago White Sox Training Academy, which brings some of your favorite White Sox players and Southpaw to our neighborhood. This year, we will have the presence of internationally renowned singer Diana Reyes, made possible by Coca-Cola. Diana Reyes will be signing autographs and performing during the weekend. Ronald McDonald will also be at our festival, joining kids and their families as we have tons of summer fun.

This year, we anticipate larger attendance due to the many activities, giveaways and performances that the BYNC is providing for the community. The Fiesta Back of the Yards will have 4 different entrance locations: West entrance 47th & Damen, East entrance 47th & Ashland, North entrance 46th & Wood, and South entrance 47th & Wood (all indicated in the map above). There will be a suggested donation of one dollar to enter the event. With your one-dollar donation, you will automatically be entered in a raffle for two Southwest Airlines tickets, redeemable anywhere in the U.S.

The suggested donation will also help cover many of the community services and programs that the BYNC offers to the seniors, children, and adults in our community.

Fiesta Back of the Yards Regresa: Junio 8, 9, 10

El Concilio de Back of the Yards (BYNC) se enorgullece en anunciar el tan anticipado regreso de su evento de tres días de duración Fiesta Back of the Yards el 8, 9 y 10 de junio del 2012. La Fiesta una vez más se realizará en la Calle 47, entre las Avenidas

Damen y Ashland. Como parte de nuestra celebración cultural, estamos muy contentos y orgullosos de brindarle a nuestra comunidad

muchas formas de entretenimiento, como la Academia de Entrenamiento de los Chicago White Sox, la cual trae a algunos de nuestros jugadores favoritos y a Southpaw al vecindario. Este año, contaremos con la presencia de la reconocida cantante internacional Diana Reyes que fue posible ¡gracias a Coca-Cola. Diana Reyes estará firmando autógrafos y presentándose durante el fin de semana. Ronald McDonald también estará en nuestro festival, acompañando a los niños y a sus familias ya que tendremos ¡muchísima diversión de verano.

Este año, anticipamos una mayor asistencia debido a las muchas actividades, regalos y presentaciones que el BYNC estará ofreciendo a la comunidad. La Fiesta de Back of the Yards tendrá cuatro entradas distintas: La entrada oeste en la 47 y Damen,

la entrada este en la 47 y Ashland, la entrada norte en la 46 y Wood y la entrada sur en la 47 y Wood (las cuales se indican en el mapa superior). Habrá una donación sugerida de un dólar para entrar al evento. Con su donación de un dólar, automáticamente entrará a la rifa de dos boletos de las Aerolíneas Southwest, válidos para cualquier parte de los Estados Unidos.

La donación sugerida también ayudará a cubrir muchos de los servicios comunitarios y programas que el BYNC ofrece a las personas mayores, niños y adultos en nuestra comunidad.
