Community Announcement: Housing Wait List Opens

The Chicago Housing Authority is now accepting applications for the re-opening of its public housing community area wait list. The CHA will be taking applications for residents who live in the following community areas:

Douglas
Oakland
Kenwood
New City
Fuller Park

Residents must show proof of residing in these community areas at the time of application, and during the screening process. A picture ID and two forms of proof of address are required. Applications are now being accepted at the Metropolitan Apostolic Community Church located at 4100 S. King Drive, Chicago IL 60653.

Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 23^rd 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

This wait list is opened until June 29, 2012. CHA will then conduct an electronic lottery drawing to determine each applicant’s place on the wait list. If you have any further questions you may contact Evelyn Rodriguez, Outreach Coordinator at Erie Neighborhood House at 773-277.0805.

Lista de Espera Para Vivienda

La Autoridad de Vivienda Pública de Chicago estará aceptando solicitudes para la re-apertura de la lista de espera de áreas comunitarias de vivienda pública. Esta lista es solamente para residentes de estas áreas comunitarias:

Douglas
Oakland
Kenwood
New City
Fuller Park

Para entrar a la lista de espera, solicitantes deben demonstrar que viven en estas áreas. Se require una identificación con fotografía y dos comprobantes de domicilio para aplicar. Pueden aplicar directamente en el Metropolitan Apostolic Community Church localizada en el 4100 S. King Drive, Chicago, IL 60653. La lista de espera estará abierta hasta el 29 de junio 2012. Después, La Autoridad de Vivienda Pública conducirá una lotería electrónica para determinar el lugar de cada solicitante en la lista de espera.

Lunes al Viernes, 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

Sábado, 23 de Junio 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
