Last Minute Tax Tips Seminar – April 11 NHS Home Ownership Education Center

1823 W 47th St,

This seminar will focus on last minute actions you can take to reduce your income tax bill. The seminar will be led by Fateneh El-Haj of Haj Financial. El-Haj will help taxpayers understand the best ways to quickly reduce taxes. She will also answer questions about filing your taxes at the last minute and also discuss how you can plan to reduce taxes next year.

Foreclosure Prevention – April 25 NHS Home Ownership Education Center 1823 W 47th St.

Learn how to protect yourself against a foreclosure. Find out what your rights and responsibilities are and how best to protect your family. This seminar will be presented by Christian Giannotti of Financial Rescue. Mr. Giannotti will use his experience as a mortgage banker to help homeowners understand the foreclosure process and how to avoid being defrauded by your mortgage company.

Networking Event – May 15 @ Testa Produce 4555 S Racine

Network with your friends and make new business connections. Learn about new programs from the BYNC. Also, hear about the Internet access options coming to the Back of the Yards from our guest speakers – Comcast. This event will be at Testa Produce 4555 S Racine.

Property Tax Reduction – May 23 NHS Home Ownership Education Center 1823 W. 47th St.

Are your property taxes too high? Can you protest your assessment? Have you applied for all exemptions? Every property owner asks themselves these questions every year. Andrea Raila is a former member of the Cook County Board of Tax Review and has worked for 22 years assisting property owners in appealing their taxes. She will answer these and other common questions that property owners have about taxes. Come to this very popular seminar and be an informed tax payer.
