Chicago Bears Dominate Detroit Lions for a 37-13 Win

If fans had any doubt about the strength and agility of the Chicago Bears prior to yesterday’s game against the Detroit Lions, then it was all swept away as the Bears dominated with a heated and high-impact 37-13 win.

Things got off to a great start by the Bears, as Julius Peppers and Tim Jennings forced turnovers on the Lions’ first two possessions, leading to a touchdown and field goal by the Bears. In the second quarter, Devin Hester scored a touchdown on an 82-yard punt return, despite a sore left ankle that forced him to miss practice the entire week leading up to the Lions game.

Up 20 to 0 at the start of the second half, Charles Tillman and Major Wright returned interceptions for touchdowns early in the third quarter putting the game out of Lions’ reach.

Things really got out of hand early in the fourth quarter as Lions’ quarterback Matthew Stafford threw his third interception. While Jennings picked him off and got shoved out of bounds by Nate Burleson, Stafford grabbed D.J. Moore by the helmet and threw him to the ground. That led to a chaotic and intense confrontation involving players of both teams.

Stafford’s move wasn’t the only dirty move of the night. Lions’ Ndamukong Suh ripped Jay Cutler’s helmet after a run, while Nick Fairley slammed him to the ground on a late hit in the third quarter.

The Bears’ win over the Lions knocked the Lions into a second place tie with the Bears in the NFC North with a record of 6-3.

The Bears will play the San Diego Chargers next week Sunday Nov. 20^th.

Los Bears de Chicago Dominan a los Lions de Detroit con Victoria de 37-13

            Si los fanáticos tenían alguna duda de la fuerza y agilidad de los Bears de Chicago previo al encuentro del pasado domingo contra los Lions de Detroit, entonces todo se desvaneció,  ya que los Bears dominaron con una acalorada victoria de alto impacto 37-13.

            Las cosas tuvieron un buen comienzo para los Bears, ya que Julius Peppers y Tim Jennings forzaron devoluciones en intercepción sobre las primeras dos posesiones de los Lions resultando en un touchdown y un gol de campo por parte de los Bears. En el segundo cuarto, Devin Hester anotó un touchdown de una patada de despeje de 82 yardas, a pesar de un tobillo izquierdo lesionado, que lo forzó a perderse la práctica de la semana completa antes del partido contra los Lions.

            Llegando a un marcador de hasta 20 a 0 al comienzo de la segunda mitad, Charles Tillman y Major Wright devolvieron intercepciones anotando touchdowns a principios del tercer cuarto poniendo el partido fuera del alcance de los Lions.

            Las cosas se salieron fuera de control al principio del último cuarto cuando el mariscal de campo de los Lions Matthew Stafford lanzaba su tercera intercepción. Mientras Jennings lo levantó y fue sacado con un empujón de Nate Burleson, Stafford agarró a D.J. Moore del casco y lo lanzó al suelo. Eso llevó a un caótico e intenso altercado entre jugadores de ambos equipos.

            La movida de Stafford no fue la única jugada sucia de la noche. Ndamukong Suh de los Lions le arrancó el casco a Jay Cutler después de una carrera, mientras Nick Fairley lo golpeo contra el suelo a finales del tercer cuarto.

            La victoria de los Bears sobre los Lions los tumbó a un empate por el segundo lugar con los Bears en la División Norte de la Conferencia Nacional con un récord de 6-3.

Los Bears se enfrentarán a los Chargers de San Diego este fin de semana, el domingo 20 de noviembre.
